Data Profile: BTS Omnibus Survey | |
BTS Omnibus Survey | Overview | The Bureau of Transportation Statistics coordinates the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT's) monthly Omnibus Survey. The survey collects information from households in the United States on issues related to safety, mobility, the human and natural environment, economic growth, and national security. The BTS Omnibus Survey provides data on issues related to safety, mobility, the human and natural environment, economic growth, and national security to support informed planning and decision-making.
In addition to monthly core questions on the DOT's strategic goals, each DOT office may add up to 10 questions to the survey. These questions can be event-, issue-, or mode-specific and might measure public reaction to fluctuating fuel prices, seat belt use, airline service, or boating safety.
