Automobile Driving Costs
   Overview
The "Your Driving Costs" report from the American Automobile Association (AAA) provides estimates of annual driving costs for five representative vehicles: a compact car, a mid-sized car, a large car, a light truck, and a mini-van. Operating costs per mile and ownership costs per year are estimated. Total cost per mile is given for vehicles driven 10,000, 15,000, and 25,000 annually.

Available data series include 1) estimated cost of gas and oil, maintenance and tires per mile and 2) estimated cost of insurance, license, registration, taxes, and depreciation per year.
