Data Profile: U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks
U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks
   Overview
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency collects the annual Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks, which is also the official U.S. report submitted under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Data include gases by type and source, including transportation-related sources. Emissions are measured by mass and by mass weighted by each gas's potential to cause global warming.

Available key data series include 1) greenhouse gas emissions by type, mode, and industrial sector and 2) greenhouse gas emissions by mass and by mass weighted by the each gas's potential to cause global warming.
